Uhoda Jazz in Liège 2025

From May 8 to 11, 2025, the 34th edition of Uhoda Jazz in Liège will take place in the city with an eclectic and accessible program
bringing together emblematic artists, new voices of contemporary jazz and daring artistic proposals.
Among the highlights, the Philip Glass Ensemble will present a live version of Koyaanisqatsi, accompanied by a screening of the cult film. This exceptional performance will offer a unique dialogue between repetitive music and cinematic imagery. Another highlight will be Thomas Dutronc who will take the stage to share his vision of gypsy jazz, blending swing, virtuoso guitar, and French chanson.
The festival will also feature vocal jazz icon Youn Sun Nah, who will perform with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, as well as the Brazilian trio Azymuth, pioneers of jazz-funk. Arooj Aftab, a unique voice and Grammy Award winner, will offer a sensitive and mixed universe, between jazz, folk and world music.
This edition is dedicated to making music accessible. Several free concerts are offered in the venue, in optimal listening conditions. Among them, DJ and curator Lefto Early Bird, known for his bridges between jazz, electronica, and hip-hop. The festival headquarters, located at the Hôtel de Clercx (27 Rue Saint-Paul), will also be free and open to all throughout the festival. It will host concerts, meetings, and moments of conviviality in a relaxed setting.
In terms of access, several options allow you to tailor the experience to your preferences. The 4-day pass grants access to the entire program, while day passes, venue passes, or concert passes allow for a more targeted approach. For those who wish to experience the festival in a more exclusive setting, a VIP pass offers privileged access to the concerts, a 3-course meal at Olga Le Bistro, and a glass of prosecco.
On Sunday, May 11, the festival also features families with the Jazz Kid, a silent film screening accompanied by live musicians. To extend the experience, brunch will be served at Olga Le Bistro before the screening.
