Opening weekend - preHistorisch Dorp
28.03 > 29.03
Saturday, March 28, the time has come: the preHistorisch Dorp opens its gates again after the winter break! During this opening weekend, there is always plenty to do in Eindhoven’s open-air museum. Historical residents are ready to tell you all about daily life in the past, activities are happening everywhere, and the medieval inn is open once again for a snack and a drink.
During the opening weekend on March 28 and 29, you will truly experience the past, from prehistory to the late Middle Ages!
What is there to do?
Every historical corner of the museum has something to offer. Our residents are eager to share their stories and bring ancient crafts to life. Visit the potters to learn how to work with clay, pull up a seat by the fire to bake your own bread, and enjoy the wisdom of craftsmen who love to share their knowledge. Chat with the residents to learn more about life in the Stone Age, Roman times, or the late Middle Ages.
Historical activities
Ready for some action? Head to the archery range, throw a wooden spear, or use your muscles to strike wooden pegs. There is something for everyone! Join in with various historical activities, such as demonstrations and workshops by skilled craftsmen. Enjoy traditional favorites like stone throwing, dressing up in the Noble Farm, or making prehistoric music. You can even try making fire with flint and steel or crafting your own fibula. And if you’re up for a game, the medieval marketplace has plenty of options.
