Bars en fête ! | First edition

“BARS EN FÊTE” is an original, friendly, and festive event, organised in the historic heart of Liège, aimed at supporting the HoReCa sector, which has been particularly weakened in recent years. This event takes place on Saturday 4th October, from midday to 1am, and on Sunday 5th October, from 10am to 6pm.

He thus responds to a clear expectation from the HoReCa sector, which wishes to maintain a festive activity during this time of year, traditionally favourable to their turnover.

Several events, organised by the Alderman's Office for Commercial and Tourist Attractiveness, will take place this weekend in the historic heart, complementing the initiatives led by the traders.

To ensure this atmosphere, various artists will animate the defined perimeter. In total, 25 providers will enliven the streets and iconic places of the historic heart:

  • 12 live music groups (including Michel sings Sardou, Yoni Vidal, IV Connexions or Pepe);
  • 6 DJ (including DJ side, DJ Julien Blomme) ;
  • 5 illusionist magicians, who will tour the partner bars and restaurants (including Gianni Handerson, Roberto Holà, or Krys the magician);
  • 1 luminous fanfare (Samba Lou) that will parade from the Opera to Hors Château street.

The performances will take place at 6 locations, spread from the Market to the Hors Château street, via Neuvice, the Goffestraat, the district of the Administrative City, as well as in 17 partner bars and restaurants. The full programme can be discovered below.

The aim is to put the HoReCa establishments in the spotlight.

The proposed performances will continue on Saturday until 1am, in order to accommodate the opening hours of the bars and satisfy the public. For establishments that do not have the option to animate their outdoor spaces, a few close-up artists will move directly inside the restaurants, allowing customers to enjoy quality entertainment while respecting space constraints, bringing a friendly and interactive touch without disrupting the smooth running of the service.

In order to maximise the benefits for bars and restaurants, this event is aligned with the other activities and events of the first weekend in October.
