 . The Musée de La Boverie will host a unique exhibition dedicated to Impr
 essionism in Belgium\, shedding light on a facet of this major movement in
  modern art that is still too little known. Often associated with its icon
 ic French figures\, Impressionism has nonetheless had an original and earl
 y resonance in Belgium. As early as the 1860s\, Belgian artists distanced 
 themselves from academicism\, embracing new forms of pictorial expression 
 that foreshadowed Impressionism. The exhibition will trace this artistic e
 ffervescence\, from the beginnings of the Société Libre des Beaux-Arts t
 o the emergence of Belgian luminism. Around a hundred works will be gather
 ed in the bright and refined spaces of La Boverie\, offering an exceptiona
 l dialogue between French masters (Monet\, Renoir\, Pissarro\, Sisley…) 
 and their Belgian counterparts (Ensor\, Claus\, Lemmen\, Van Rysselberghe
 …). This unprecedented face-to-face encounter will explore cross-influen
 ces\, national singularities\, and parallel paths\, in an ambitious and de
 cidedly contemporary scenography\, also showcasing multimedia and interact
